so fresh and so clean
This founding TLClocals project arrose from a desperate need to clean up Tunitas Creek. Due to no trash receptacles and a long hike in & out of the area, there is a huge problem with visitors just dumping their garbage anywhere - it is polluting the creek and beach, looks awful, smells worse and makes an otherwise local gem less than enjoyable.
UPDATES: 2017 clean-ups kick off Sunday, March 19th! Register on Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tunitas-creek-beach-clean-ups-tickets-31045397620 or email aloha@tlclocals.com for more information. Can't make the 19th?! Join us on 3rd Sundays at 10 AM on Tunitas Creek Rd. for our monthly clean-ups.
These cute signs were made by someone? and placed along the trail a few months ago. . . I wish people would read and follow them.
This was all the trash left at the highway by a group of volunteers from South San Francisco. . . they did an Awesome Job! cleaning the south side of the beach - unfortunately that was only a small part of the trash and that much trash is on the beach (not in bags) weekly.
I actually don't mind the graffiti on these two walls, kind of part of the beach, but there is a ton of graffiti along the trail and all over the trees. Really - the trees - ridiculous!
